For family-friendly fun, join Noon Year’s Eve at Telus Spark, featuring a disco dance party and a noon balloon pop. The celebration, running from noon to 4 p.m., spans various Calgary Public Library branches, including Central, Crowfoot, Saddletowne, Shawnessy, and Signal Hill, offering all-ages activities like special story times, dance parties, refreshments, and countdowns.
Adults can partake in early celebrations at Ship and Anchor, where doors open at 10 a.m. for British music, food, and drinks leading up to the U.K. countdown at 5 p.m. Calgary time.
Experience the Luminous New Year’s Eve choir event at Bella Concert Hall at 7:30 p.m., featuring singing, sparkling wine, and chocolates.
Zoo Year’s Eve provides multiple countdowns and a light show for families from 5 to 9 p.m. and adults from 10 p.m. to midnight. Additionally, a Zoo Year’s Eve gala is available for adults from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Instead of a traditional ball drop, witness a puck drop at 6 p.m. when the Calgary Flames face the Philadelphia Flyers at the Saddledome.
